Description
Kamille Power Comfort Wheelchair
Kamille Power Comfort Wheelchair has a permanently mounted motor but is otherwise identical to Kamille Comfort Wheelchair. The discreet built in motor is operated using a joystick with a display. The display shows the different speed profiles and controls tilt and recline. The joystick is mounted on the push bar but can also be mounted on the armrest so that it can be operated by the user. Kamille Power has been crash tested in accordance with ISO 7176 19. Kamille Power Comfort Wheelchair provides exceptional support because its construction is so flexible that it can accommodate contractures in both the upper and lower extremities without special adaptations. The possibility of maximum individual adjustment helps to improve activity level, functional ability and quality of life. Kamille Power Comfort Wheelchair can be adjusted according to the hip, knee and ankle joints of the user. The wheelchair can be tilted up to 45°, which makes transfers easier, for example. The backrest can be reclined up to 40°.
Electrically adjustable backrest and electric seat and backrest tilt
Kamille Power Comfort Wheelchair comes as standard with an electrically adjustable backrest and electric tilt of the seat and backrest as one unit. The different electric functions can be adjusted continuously, which means that the user does not experience uncomfortable jolts. The electric function also allows adjustment of the hip angle and the angle of the seat backrest. Electric tilt and backrest adjustment provide better working conditions for the caregiver, who does not have to use their own body weight when handling the wheelchair. The electric functions are activated using the joystick.
Cushion system
The seating system can be adjusted for users with asymmetrical conditions. The seating system consists of two separate plates that can be positioned independently of each other using slots. The two separate plates in the seating system ensure precise adjustment that matches the individual anatomical needs of the user. This benefits users who experience challenges such as anisomelia, different leg lengths, differences in the amount of tissue in the lower extremities or abduction at the hip joint. The option of asymmetrical adjustment also accommodates challenges associated with windswept leg positions. The cushion system of the wheelchair is positioned directly on top of the seat plates. Kamille Power Comfort Wheelchair is equipped with padded clothing guards that follow the movements and angle of the seat plate. Kamille Power Comfort Wheelchair is equipped with a complete and unique cushion system that ensures optimal pressure distribution and close body positioning. The cushions are filled with a mixture of Krøyer beads and viscoelastic foam, which together contribute to increased sensory stimulation. Each cushion has its own zip. The colour of the cushions has been specially selected with the visual sensory system in mind, where colours must not appear too strong or too subtle.
Readjustment and accessories
Kamille Power Comfort Wheelchair can be reused because the wide selection of accessories makes it easy to readjust the wheelchair. The wheelchair can be upgraded with a tray, stretch covers and different types of weighted cushions, headrests, flex arms and leg rests. All accessories are adapted to the individual user.
Asymmetrical adjustment of the backrest system
The backrest can be adjusted asymmetrically. This makes it easier to accommodate anatomical challenges such as scoliosis, increased lateral flexion of the trunk or asymmetrical tissue, for example in cases of obesity, hernias or oedema. Asymmetrical adjustment is possible due to the three aluminium plates that make up the backrest system. Two of the plates can be moved independently of each other, even though all three plates are connected. The backrest system is also designed to reduce the risk of shear when the backrest angle is changed. The height of the backrest can be increased by up to 80 mm without compromising the adjustment of the backrest system. The backrest extension, available as an optional accessory, consists of three plates mounted on the backrest system.
Padded, movable body supports
Specially developed body supports positioned in slots in the backrest system contribute to stable and close body support of the trunk, regardless of whether the user has scoliosis or reduced or increased thoracic muscle tone. The position of the body supports on the backrest system means that they can be placed very close to the user, preventing the user from falling to the side of or over the body support. Several body supports can be positioned on each side for complex needs. The body supports on Kamille Power Comfort Wheelchair are padded with viscoelastic foam and Krøyer beads.
Armrests
Using thumb screws, the armrest can be angled inwards, downwards and upwards and can be adjusted in height. This allows the armrest to be angled to accommodate increased muscle contraction or overactivity or underactivity in the muscles of the upper extremities. The armrest padding contains the same type of filling as the other cushions on Kamille Comfort Wheelchair. The padding increases the amount of sensory stimulation and minimises the risk of pressure ulcers. The armrests can be angled to a natural resting position. Weighted flex arms are available as optional accessories. They support the arms of the user and contribute to additional security, calm and comfort.
Leg rests
Kamille Power Comfort Wheelchair is equipped with swing away leg rests as standard. Swing away leg rests help the user maintain the activity of manual transfer from a care bed to the wheelchair for longer. The height and angle of the leg rests can be adjusted at the knee and ankle joints. The leg rests are padded with foam on the outside and with a cushion containing viscoelastic foam and Krøyer beads on the inside. Foam padding is used on the outside to reduce the risk of inappropriate contact with the frame. Small inserts allow the footrests to be changed from two separate sections to one combined footrest for use in cases of severe adduction, for example. You can find Kamille Power Comfort Wheelchair in the Danish AssistData.
Important information about charging Kamille Power Comfort Wheelchair
When in use, the battery must be charged to 100% every day using the supplied charger. The charging socket for the wheelchair is located underneath the joystick. If the power indicator on the joystick display shows 1 to 2 bars, the battery must immediately be connected to the charger through the back of the joystick and charged to 100%. If the battery is completely discharged, it enters protection mode for three days and cannot be used during this period. If the battery, with or without the wheelchair, is stored at a depot, it must be checked every three months. The manufacturer recommends that the battery is stored with a charge level of at least 60 to 80%.
